Random from Favourites

I'm changing this simple rule. For favorites; you may submit artwork of any animal. : ) Just for the actual gallery; it has to follow the group rules of endangered/vu/etc.

:earth: See our Group Rules for information on affiliating with Endangered-Animals! :earth:

Group Rules

:new: OCT: 31st. Nice to see more members requesting to join and submitting work! ^^ I feel we are getting a bit more active. With that said, even though I have been busy too, I'm realizing a lot of work is really outstanding~ and should be advertised more. I believe starting in November, I will perhaps do features for our members. It'll be ether a general feature (keeping in the idea of animal of the month) or a feature just show casing important issues/great work/etc. Also~ Still make sure to watch what works you are submitting. There is always the issue of work being submitted that can have different breeds/types/etc that are actually endangered, while the others are not. If you see something that was accidentally accepted, and know they aren't endangered, please feel free to contact the admin, and we will remove it. (Sometimes things just slip in for whatever reason that we don't catch.) :aww: Again, giving large number of species/etc, it's hard for our staff to catch everything.

:star: Near Threatened is currently not accepted in the group. Please check status of the animals before submitting to the group.

EN - VU - NT

EN AND VU are allowed though.

:bulletblue: Anyone is welcome to join, just hit the join button at the top of the page!
:bulletblue: Join requests are automatically accepted.

:earth: Gallery Submission Guidelines!

:bulletblue: You can submit any artworks of which the main subject is an endangered animal.
:bulletblue: Please be sure that at least one of the animal(s) featured in your work is an endangered species* before submitting your request. You can find it's conservation status out in a few seconds by simply Google searching or checking a site such as: or the IUCN Red List.
:bulletblue: You can also submit artworks of an extinct species to this group, but they must be submitted to the 'Extinct Animals' Gallery Folder.
:bulletblue: The submission limit is 2 deviations per day.
:bulletblue: Please submit your work to the correct folder in the gallery, else it will be declined.
:bulletblue: Submissions to the 'Featured' folder are not allowed. Admins will move works to that folder if we feel the art is of very good quality.
:bulletblue: All artworks are approved by the admins before being shown in the gallery.

* This could be 'Vulnerable', 'Endangered', or 'Critically Endangered'.

:earth: Affiliation Requests!
:bulletblue: Before sending us an affiliation request, please bear in mind that we will only affiliate with other animal/environment/conservation related groups.

:earth: Promoting Events!
:bulletblue: If you would like us to promote your contest or project in our journal, then please note the group with the details. However, we will only promote contests/projects which are related to endangered animals.
Guys; please be sure to submit animals that are endangered to the group. ONLY endangered animals to the group. We are getting submissions of domestic animals, and this is not allowed.

To help make our job easier, please, pay more attention to work you are submitting to this group.

Not sure if people are hitting submit to all their groups, or what, but this issue needs to be addressed.

We will no longer tell you why your work is declined if you submit a piece of a animal that is not endangered. I might shut the gallery down for a a day or two so we can do some cleaning in the group. If this happens, just be patient and wait a day or so for the galleries to reopen.

I notice there are a quite a few domestic animals in the "Artisan Crafts" folder - are domesticated breeds, even rare breeds, considered "endangered animals"?
